The #robberfly #Tolmerus #cingulatus is native to the Palearctic and prefers dry #habitats. #Adults #prey on other insects, killing their prey with #neurotoxins, predigest via #enzymes. Larvae are soil predators. R. Mitchell (2024) presents a #genome (280,000 megabases) for the #DarwinTreeofLife. See also my science blog article (2024).

Question for all.🙋
I've seen that #DarwinTreeOfLife project already have my interested species in there list of 70K genomes to assemble. I think that they already get PacBio data. However, I don't know how long it could take to release the ref genome (cod-like fish ~700mb Gsize). Does anyone has info ? Does it possible to flag up this species to them in order to slightly speed up the output of the assembly? 🙏
