We looked into getting DarkSky (https://darksky.org/) recognition for our guest cottages, as our property is in a region with Bortle 1 skies, and the Milky Way and several other night sky features are all clearly visible with clear skies. However, we can't afford their fees. So we thought we'd just post some pics to show you all.

Floating in Gemini, the Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) is a 5,000-light-year-old supernova remnant—an graveyard of gas and dust. Its tangled filaments and shockwaves reveal the violent death of a massive star. Astronomers study it to learn how supernovae shape galaxies. We just admire the beauty! ;-)

The Triangulum Galaxy, also called M33, is one of our Milky Way's closest neighbors, located about 3 million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum. It's smaller and less massive than both the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy. M33 has beautiful spiral arms and lots of young, hot stars.
