SURF completes DPIA for Adobe Creative Cloud and Document Cloud for Education

SURF and Privacy Company have conducted a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) on Adobe Creative Cloud and Document Cloud for Education. SURF confirms that institutions may continue using these products, as Adobe has committed to implementing mitigation measures to address the identified risks. At the end of 2026, we will review whether the supplier has fully implemented these measures.

De Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens heeft ernstige zorgen over de digitale autonomie en soevereiniteit van Nederland. Net als inmiddels veel andere organisaties en belangengroepen waarschuwt nu ook de privacytoezichthouder het kabinet om daar stevige maatregelen over te nemen.

Handvatten bij de globale GEB voor Google Workspace for Education: alternatieven en adviezen

Op 25 oktober 2024 publiceerde de expertenwerkgroep “Privacy in onderwijs” een globale Gegevensbeschermingseffectbeoordeling (GEB) voor Google Workspace for Education in het Vlaamse onderwijs. Een GEB is de Nederlandstalige term voor een Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) in de AVG(GDPR). In dit artikel wordt verder vooral de afkorting DPIA gebruikt. De globale DPIA vormt een belangrijke basis voor scholen die (willen) werken met Google Workspace for Education (GWfE). Maar een DPIA is ook maar het vertrekpunt voor bewuste keuzes in een lokale context. Dit artikel helpt scholen de globale DPIA correct te interpreteren én brengt alternatieven, mitigerende maatregelen en aandachtspunten voor de lokale DPIA in kaart.
