In my view, the best way to fight back against people like Thaler is to take their "art," re-create it in one's own medium, and then release it widely under a CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license.

Photographer Refuses Magazine's Request to Publish Images, So It Draws Them

A blatant copyright violation.

PetaPixel

@algernon Remember how Sony committed copyright violation in their rootkits? Including of GPL code.

Also, what led to FSF v Cisco systems.

Strong copyleft at least provides something that can be used in court, but indeed it'll probably still be a daunting and expensive task.

@libreleah
Yes, it could be a #GPL #OpenSource #CopyrightViolation

If you could describe your findings in detail, I think the @fsfe should handle this.

jurisdiction: RI, US ?

That's pretty crazy. To feel weird about publishing my own stuff, publicly, because for some reason I'm in violation of copyright.

I mean. I know I'm not, but who feels like messing with it. Not me.

Funny thing is (off camera) the same tracks are right there, same track numbers just different attribution format.

Makes one wonder. Why?

Why these three, and not the other three? The others do have the orig artwork, while the deleted did not. They'd have to show as like 98%-bit-similar audio.

Maybe it has to do with how long they were allowed to sit there without my providing apparent requisite data to prevent that from happening.
