Roma, 13 mar. (Adnkronos) - ''Prima di presentare il ddl sul premierato ho impiegato 6 mesi, ho sentito tutti. Non posso sentirmi dire che non mi sono confrontata con opposizioni'' ma ''se il confronto significa aderire in maniera pedissequa a quello che vogliono gli altri non è confronto''. Lo ha detto la ministra delle Riforme Elisabetta Casellati, intervenendo a LetExpo.
''Se da 40 anni -ha sottolineato- si parla di riforma della forma di governo vuol dire che questa forma di governo non funziona. Barbera ha detto che il premierato è la forma migliore di governo, perché ha quei pesi e contrappesi necessari per un governo che funzioni perché si ha bisogno di stabilità. I padri costituenti hanno costruito un sistema basato sulla paura, perché uscivano dalla guerra: i comunisti avevano paura che prevalessero i clericali, i democristiani avevano paura dei comunisti. E' stato basato perché non ci sia mai un vincitore ma noi vogliamo che un vincitore ci sia''.

Reforms, Casellati: "Premiered bill? First 6 months of dialogue with opposition, heard everyone"

Rome, March 13 (Adnkronos) - “Before presenting the bill on the premiership, I took 6 months, I listened to everyone. I cannot be told that I did not consult with opposition,” but “if the consultation means unconditionally adhering to what others want, it is not a consultation.” This was said by Minister of Reforms Elisabetta Casellati, speaking at LetExpo.

“For 40 years – she emphasized – we have been talking about reforming the form of government, which means this form of government does not work. Barbera said that the premiership is the best form of government, because it has the necessary weights and balances for a government that works, because stability is needed. The founding fathers built a system based on fear, because they were coming out of the war: the communists were afraid the clergy would prevail, the Christian Democrats were afraid of the communists. It was based on the idea that there should never be a winner, but we want there to be a winner.”

BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — "A new anti-#LGBTQ+ law banning Pride events and allowing authorities to use #FacialRecognition software to identify those attending the festivities was passed in Hungary on Tuesday, leading to a large #demonstration on the streets of #Budapest.

"Several thousand protesters chanting anti-government slogans gathered after the vote outside Hungary’s parliament. They later staged a blockade of the Margaret Bridge over the Danube, blocking traffic and disregarding police instructions to leave the area.

"The move by Hungarian lawmakers is part of a crackdown on the country’s LGBTQ+ community by the nationalist-populist party of Prime Minister #ViktorOrbán, who is an ally of Russian President #VladimirPutin and U.S. President #DonaldTrump.

"The measure, which is reminiscent of similar restrictions against sexual minorities in #Russia, was passed in a 136-27 vote. The law, supported by Orbán’s Fidesz party and their minority coalition partner the #ChristianDemocrats, was pushed through parliament in an accelerated procedure after being submitted on Monday.

"Opposing legislators led a vivid protest in the legislature involving rainbow-colored smoke bombs.

"At the protest outside parliament, Evgeny Belyakov, a Russian citizen who immigrated to Hungary after facing repression in Russia, said the legislation went at the heart of people’s rights to peacefully assemble."

I'm confused: the Belgian leader of the #ChristianDemocrats has refused an invitation to meet with the #pope because he is "disappointed in how the Vatican has dealt with the issue of abuse in the church". Maybe a lot of his - mainly - #Christian voters are equally dissapointed in the leader of their party. In two weeks Belgium has #elections. I guess it's no surprise who is not going to win.
