I bought a #walkman (for you millenials: that's a portable audio #cassette #tape player, check Wikipedia if uncertain)

That in itself is not very interesting. I bought the player because it has a microphone jack so I can also use it to record stuff. Programs for old 8 bit comupters like the #ZXSpectrum for example.

Thing is, now that the player/recorder has arrvied, I was tempted to also test its original purpose: playing back audio.

So I went to the basement to plough through my pile of storage boxes in order to dig up some audio tape for a test. And here's what I found: an original 1970s tape release of the #Genesis album #Trespass, released by #Charisma records which my dad bought back in 1971. It is still in good shape, the jewel case being slightly brittle. But the paper inlay and the audio tape themselves are in excellent condition.

Now playing "Looking for someone" from side B of that tape ... oh, those memories ...
