I'm still mad that #RedHat basicaly axed @centos into an #unstable distro similar to @fedora, which shows that people at Red Hat didn't uderstand thaf neither #Fedora nor #CentOS threatened or cannibalized #RHEL market share.
#Fedora has it's appeal as #DeveloperDistro and #CentOS as #Testbed for Workloads destined for #RHEL #Servers and #Workstations...
In fact, were it not for the premature axing of #CentOS8 I would've not considered steering a fmr. employer's IT towards @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS but instead could've even convinced myself and the C-Level that paying 6 digits per year instead of nothing was a necessary business expense...

But this and pulling a #grsecurity on everyone else (see the whole centos repo foasco) made me rethink:
"Do I really want to give people money who just pissed on me and didn't even try to sell it to me as rain or apple juice?"
Obviously, I don't take kindly to threats, exploitation and insults...
So #SUSE and #Canonical were the two contestants that ticked all the required boxes and since there were no hard dependencies, Canonical won by a long shot with >85% cost savings at equal or hetter SLAs AFAICR...
And that says something...
