Il rifiuto di Hezbollah sul cessate il fuoco con Israele è stato coordinato con la Repubblica islamica dell'Iran. Lo fa sapere il quotidiano Haaretz citando una propria fonte libanese vicina al governo di Beirut. Per Teheran, infatti, il cessate il fuoco in Libano è una condizione da inserire nell'accordo tra Iran e Stati Uniti.
Hezbollah dunque non accetterà condizioni che assomiglino in qualche modo a una sconfitta. Dunque, secondo la fonte, il gruppo terrorista sciita libanese "non annuncerà il disarmo e non accetterà di ritirarsi. Ma ciò che determinerà gli sviluppi sul campo sarà se, in una prima fase, verrà dato l'ordine ai vertici militari di non attaccare gli insediamenti israeliani e se verrà raggiunto un accordo per non attaccare le forze armate israeliane". 
Per il "Partito di Dio" si cesserà di combattere solo con la fine di tutte le ostilità nella zona e il ritiro dell'Idf dal Paese dei Cedri. Condizione difficile da accettare per Israele e Usa, impegnate a sradicare i terroristi, tanto in Libano quanto a Gaza, e a impedire all'Iran di divenire una potenza nucleare che destabilizzerebbe l'intero assetto globale.

Therefore, according to the source, the Hezbollah Shia Lebanese terrorist group “will not announce disarmament and will not accept withdrawing. However, what will determine developments on the ground will be whether, in a first phase, the military commanders will be ordered not to attack Israeli settlements and if an agreement will be reached not to attack the Israeli armed forces.”

For the “Party of God,” the fighting will cease only with the end of all hostilities in the area and the withdrawal of the IDF from the Cedars country. A difficult condition to accept for Israel and the US, committed to rooting out the terrorists, both in Lebanon and Gaza, and to preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power that would destabilize the entire global order.

Forze speciali israeliane, anche agenti del Mossad, hanno operato nelle scorse ore sul campo in Iran. E' quanto si legge sul sito web della tv satellitare al-Arabiya, che indica come fonti "media israeliani”.

Unità delle forze israeliane sono poi entrate nel sud del Libano. Lo riferisce il sito di notizie Ynet. Secondo quanto reso noto, forze della 91esima Divisione sono entrate nel sud del Libano e "mantengono il controllo di diverse posizioni nell'area" come "parte" dell'operazione per il "rafforzamento della difesa avanzata". Secondo le Idf, le forze israeliane "lavorano per creare un ulteriore livello di sicurezza aggiuntiva per i residenti del nord" di Israele, "con raid estesi contro infrastrutture" degli Hezbollah libanesi, per "sventare minacce e impedire tentativi di infiltrazione nel territorio israeliano". "Hezbollah ha scelto di attaccare Israele per conto del regime iraniano e subirà le conseguenze delle sue azioni". Lo ha riferito una fonte militare all'Afp, precisando che le forze armate hanno ridistribuito i propri uomini in vari punti dove si erano recentemente posizionati, con l'obiettivo di preservare la sicurezza dei soldati. Inoltre la tv libanese al-Jadeed ha dato la notizia di una decisione di Unifil di mandare via "immediatamente" dal Libano il "personale civile non essenziale" della Missione Unifil. L'emittente parla dell' "evacuazione" dal Paese dei Cedri del "personale straniero non essenziale e dei loro familiari".
