Today at #TraderJoes in #CambridgeMA, they had a table with a raffle or something, to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Wikipedia says "In 1996, the company opened its first stores on the East Coast in Brookline and Cambridge, both outside Boston."

A long-time employee there told me that Brookline technically opened one day earlier, for a soft-open.

The weather wasn't quite as hot as the last few days, so I'd walked the mile to Trader Joe's and Micro Center -- both beloved local institutions.

I was feeling so hip today as a 60-something-year-old woman, looking over the freezer section today at Trader Joe’s!
