You know, as I think back upon my youth, I realize that the TV show I watched at the youngest age probably was the one that most prepared me for adult reality: Scooby Doo.
Yes, I'm serious.
Think about it. Every episode ended with the real monster being a greedy capitalist, just like real life. They are the real monsters, and Hanna Barbara was trying to ingrain that into kids so we wouldn't end up like them, and I'm glad they did.
What puzzles me is the kids who ended up copying the baddies.

First, everyone deserves food, period. I don't care who or what they do or fail to do. Housing, medical care, utilities and internet, too, to be honest. It's 2025. All of those are basic needs.

Second, I'd rather tax dollars go to the non-rich, for any reason, or no reason, than to the rich, for any reason.

The rich should pay their own way, and the poor have the taxpayer assistance they need to live, instead of merely existing.

People need to be treated like people, not servants, serfs, or slaves.

I finally learned what “detention without physical examination” means in these reports.

It’s theft. The FDA will seize these imported products because they suspect they might have issues, but they won’t actually look at them to determine if they have issues or if they can be delivered to the person or corporation that tried to import them.

It’s like removing due process. It’s like civil forfeiture with fewer steps. It’s stealing from Americans.
