Il Fatto Quotidiano: Eurovision 2026, 3mila manifestanti filo-palestinesi protestano a Vienna contro la partecipazione di Israele. Le autorità hanno predisposto controlli rafforzati

Nel giorno del Grand Final di Eurovision Song Contest 2026, al via dalle 21, è in corso Vienna la manifestazione di solidarietà con la Palestina. Attorno alla Wiener Stadthalle è stato imposto un rafforzato dispositivo di sicurezza.
Secondo stime riportate dai media austriaci, al corteo stanno partecipando circa 3mila persone. Il punto d’incontro nella zona della Westbahnhof, da dove i manifestanti hanno avviato il corteo attraversando diversi quartieri della città. Il percorso prevede il passaggio lungo la Mariahilfer Straße e nell’area della Stadthalle, sede dell’evento musicale, per concludersi all’Arik-Brauer-Park.
Sul posto è visibile un ampio dispiegamento di forze dell’ordine, impegnate nella gestione della sicurezza e della viabilità. Le autorità hanno predisposto controlli rafforzati e sono previsti rallentamenti e chiusure temporanee nelle aree interessate dal passaggio del corteo. La manifestazione si svolge in una giornata di particolare attenzione sul fronte della sicurezza, coincidente con gli eventi legati all’Eurovision Song Contest.
Le manifestazioni di quest’anno sono però meno numerose rispetto a quelle tenute durante l’edizione del 2024 a Malmö, in Svezia, e durante l’edizione dello scorso anno a Basilea, in Svizzera. Gruppi pro-palestinesi hanno organizzato un concerto all’aperto ieri venerdì 25 maggio con lo slogan “Nessun palco per il genocidio”. “Invitare Israele su un palco così prestigioso come quello dell’Eurovision Song Contest è un affronto a tutte le persone che credono nell’umanità, nell’amore e nella solidarietà”, ha dichiarato l’artista congolese-austriaco Patrick Bongola, uno degli organizzatori.
Intanto il cantante israeliano Noam Bettan all’Eurovision 2026 vive da giorni blindato, circondato da un cordone di sicurezza gestito da un ex agente del Mossad. Durante la sua esibizione alla Semifinale si sono sentita delle urla levarsi dalla platea “stop al genocidio” e un uomo sotto il palco con la scritta sulla schiena ‘Palestina Libera’ è stato bloccato dalla sicurezza.

On the day of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Grand Final, starting at 9 p.m., a solidarity demonstration with Palestine is underway in Vienna. Reinforced security measures have been implemented around the Wiener Stadthalle.

According to estimates reported by Austrian media, the procession is being attended by approximately 3,000 people. The meeting point in the Westbahnhof area, from which the protesters began the procession, crossing several districts of the city. The route includes passage along Mariahilfer Straße and in the Stadthalle area, the venue for the musical event, to conclude at Arik-Brauer-Park.

A large deployment of law enforcement officers is visible on the scene, engaged in managing security and traffic. Authorities have prepared reinforced checks and temporary slowdowns and closures are expected in areas affected by the procession. The demonstration is taking place on a day of particular focus on the security front, coinciding with events related to the Eurovision Song Contest.

However, demonstrations this year are less numerous than those held during the 2024 edition in Malmö, Sweden, and the 2023 edition in Basel, Switzerland. Pro-Palestinian groups organized an outdoor concert yesterday, May 25th, with the slogan “No Stage for Genocide.” “Inviting Israel to such a prestigious stage as the Eurovision Song Contest is an affront to all people who believe in humanity, love, and solidarity,” said Congolese-Austrian artist Patrick Bongola, one of the organizers.

Meanwhile, Israeli singer Noam Bettan at Eurovision 2026 has been living in lockdown for days, surrounded by a security cordon managed by a former Mossad agent. During his performance at the Semi-Final, shouts of “stop the genocide” were heard from the audience and a man with the words ‘Free Palestine’ written on his back was blocked by security.

Il Tempo: Acea si aggiudica gara in Congo, un importante progetto idrico nell'ambito del Piano Mattei

ACEA vince la gara per il progetto SAEP Djoué volto a potenziare l'infrastruttura idrica della capitale congolese Brazzaville, a fronte della crescente domanda di acqua nelle aree urbane della città. L'aggiudicazione da parte della United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), va all'Associazione Temporanea di Imprese guidata da Acea Infrastructure.
"L'aggiudicazione del progetto SAEP Djoué a Brazzaville raggiunge un traguardo importante per la nostra azienda: sancisce l'approdo di ACEA nel continente africano – ha dichiarato Fabrizio Palermo, amministratore delegato di ACEA - Siamo orgogliosi di essere parte di questo progetto, reso possibile dalla sinergia con le istituzioni nazionali e internazionali. Una sfida e un impegno che consolidano la nostra leadership internazionale in ambito idrico e dimostrano la capacità del know-how italiano di esportare un modello industriale efficace ed efficiente all'insegna dello sviluppo sostenibile."
L'iniziativa – volta a raggiungere oltre un milione di cittadini con l'acqua potabile - nasce nell'ambito del programma del Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica (MASE), sviluppato con il United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) e denominato PISTA (Piattaforma per gli Investimenti e l'Assistenza tecnica), per supportare i Paesi target di cooperazione ambientale ed energetica dell'Italia mediante assistenza ingegneristica avanzata. L'intervento si inserisce nel quadro delle iniziative promosse dal Piano Mattei per l'Africa ed è coerente con gli indirizzi strategici coordinati dalla Struttura di Missione della Cabina di Regia del Piano Mattei presso la Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri.
Si tratta di un importante affidamento nell'ambito di tale programma a una compagine italiana, traducendo l'indirizzo strategico del Governo in un avanzamento operativo concreto. Per la realizzazione del progetto, Acea ha messo a sistema le proprie competenze tecniche, ingegneristiche ed economico-finanziarie, con particolare riferimento alla governance di progetto, alla sostenibilità e alla strategia di procurement.

Acea wins tender in Congo, a major water project within the Mattei Plan.

ACEA wins the bid for the SAEP Djoué project, aimed at upgrading the water infrastructure of the Congolese capital, Brazzaville, in response to the growing demand for water in the city’s urban areas. The award from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) goes to the Temporary Association of Enterprises led by Acea Infrastructure.

“The award of the SAEP Djoué project to Brazzaville represents an important milestone for our company: it marks ACEA’s arrival in Africa – declared Fabrizio Palermo, CEO of ACEA – We are proud to be part of this project, made possible by the synergy with national and international institutions. A challenge and a commitment that consolidate our international leadership in the water sector and demonstrate the ability of Italian know-how to export an effective and efficient industrial model in the name of sustainable development.”

The initiative – designed to reach over one million people with access to drinking water – stems from the program of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), developed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and named PISTA (Platform for Investments and Technical Assistance), to support Italy’s target countries for environmental and energy cooperation through advanced engineering assistance. The intervention fits within the framework of initiatives promoted by the Mattei Plan for Africa and is consistent with the strategic orientations coordinated by the Mission Structure of the Control Room of the Mattei Plan at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

It is an important entrustment within that program to an Italian consortium, translating the government’s strategic direction into concrete operational progress. For the implementation of the project, Acea has integrated its technical, engineering, and economic-financial skills, with particular reference to project governance, sustainability, and procurement strategy.
