I arose at 3:30 am on this #tgif Friday with the idea of watching the stars & sunrise... :)
Spending time with my youngest son & family was heavenly. We traveled thru a good bit of the Inland Empire / #pnw beauty. Curlew Wa & #CDA Idaho.
My driver son spotted two peeps on a motorcycle pass UNDER a semi by traveling beneath the semi load! ( The load was a large steel bridge beam from #Montana. )
The cyclists were very stoked & happy.

Started our rounds today Beartooth Plateau, monitoring ice age remnant ice patches. Some went completely w summers so much warmer/drier last 25 years here 😔. Strange anoxic smell in newly exposed ground. What will be uncovered? Started usual spot 3250m US-212 then hiked S over 3300m ridge. Behind that 3170m 1947 Chevy mired in swamp, 4K off-road. Sinking slowly in melting permafrost. First big patch 3150m looks good. 2nd one 4K east 3100m healthy so far. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana #wyoming

A Throwback Thursday to my senior photo at Beaverhead County HS in Dillon. Color photography didn't exist way back then... scientists added color later. I don't know much about Seth Bodner, Independent running in MT. But certain attacks on him are suspicious. The attacks levied against him by Bankhead, the Democratic Party candidate appear on an initial sniff test to be cynical mudslinging. They take advantage of liberal and progressive tendency to write off anyone accused of sexism or other sins.
