I'm thinking this could help the farmers out, if they were allowed to use the compost. There shouldn't be a shortage of dead bodies

Gah. Listening to a town meeting where folks are complaining about the cost of trash removal from #EcoMaine. THEN RECYCLE AND COMPOST MORE! At least my neighbor is the voice of reason (We all have backyards. Why aren't we all composting our food waste?")

In and out of the house today... Checked on the #wildflower and #NativeGrass beds, sifted some #compost, lugged out the fencing material for the garden (those darn deer! Sick of them nibbling on my veggies). But I did NOT disturb any leaves or logs -- not until I see where the insects are living. I also found a nifty repurpose for leftover plastic lasagna containers -- mini greenhouses!

Prepping some large pots with it, to get ready for transplanting of my tomato plants in 2-3 weeks. I put a fish head & banana peel at bottom of each large pot.
