#Spring is time to start #hiking again. I'm fortunate to have #Dartmoor not far from where I live as it provides many locations for picturesque and stunning landscapes to #walk in. I'd planned a trip to #Burrator last year but didn't get an opportunity to go there and so this #BankHoliday weekend to remedy that fact. The #weather happened to be clear with clear skies and some scattered clouds.

The main feature there is #BarratorReservoir, which is over 120 years old and provides water for Plymouth and surrounding areas. It was my intention to walk all the way around it, though not on its shoreline.

Found this little grey squirrel at Burrator Lake clutching a stick ❤️

The gray squirrel, or eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis), is not native to the UK; it was introduced in the 1800s and has since become widespread, often displacing the native red squirrel.

This species is known for its adaptability and can be found in various habitats, including woodlands and urban areas.
