Always nice when something unexpected turns up .... on Sunday, Mr @exebirder.bsky.social Dave B and I were following the call of a newly-arrived Cuckoo when we heard the unmistakable reeling of of a newly-arrived Grasshopper Warbler. After a slow process of stop, wait and listen we found the bird.

Khurram Wadee ✅We went for a short visit to to #Totnes, which is a small rural town in #Devon. It’s only about half an hour by #train. It is on the #RiverDart, which shares its name with places like #Dartmoor and #Dartmouth. There’s a nice walk along the #Dart and here can see an old #masonry #arch #bridge which connects the town to the other side.
