#NAS used to be way worse during the era of #Trump. #Quodverum and #Brighteon’s prevalence at the time probably didn’t help things but I remember all three instances being DEEP into the #Qanon rabbit hole, until #AlexJones disavowed it

@nick @tchambers I kept #CounterSocial in the list as they were apart of the #Fediverse before being added to #Fediblock lists by numerous instances. I suspect something similar happened to #Brighteon as well.
#TruthSocial ignored the Fediverse from the beginning.
I would not be surprised if these sites rejoined the Fediverse in the near future (by reactivating #ActivityPub) now that #Instagram’s new social network (called #Threads) is entering the Fediverse.

I believe #TruthSocial’s future is chained to #Trump winning the 2024 election against #Biden.

@tchambers Federation from #TruthSocial was removed, but the site is still heavily based upon #Mastodon. I can even login via the official Mastodon app.

Does #Brighteon actually do hate speech and harassment? I remember them posting fake news when they first popped on the scene, but that was it.
Granted, that was years ago, and that I know of their userbase has dwindled significantly since its launch.
