@mcnado Tetanus is also the perfect refutation to "vaccines work forever".
We've had the tetanus vaccine since 1924, the current variant dates to 1991. But it is still only considered effective for about ten years.
Others needing boosters or regular update: influenza, shingles (adult variant of chicken pox), diptheria, pertussis, and for some meningitus. Many other routine vaccines require multiple doses for full efficacy.
