If people can get full face tattoos and botox injections and drink themselves stupid and take horse medicine and get colonics, I should be able to get a Covid booster shot every six months even if it's just my kink to get vaccinations
@thatkatharine 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'll vaccinate to that
@thatkatharine I was thinking about this in the context of every Instagram advertisement being some form of doing mushrooms all of a sudden.
@thatkatharine that's the world we live in, doing what's good for ourselves and our society is now seen as being, "sheep"..... #Idiocracy
@thatkatharine I hate needles, and I'd get a COVID booster every 6 months if I could...
@thatkatharine maybe you have inadvertently hit on some marketing ideas to make vaccination more acceptable to some resistant groups.

Combine it with a Botox treatment or a cool little tattoo.

@thatkatharine

My local Chicago-area news reported last night that new #Covid #vaccine #boosters would begin to be available "sometime next week" (Sept 10-17) for people over 50. Usually, other groups are added to the list soon after the "over 50" crowd gets their shots. You should start checking the #CDC website for which date you can 1st get yours.

COVID-19 booster shots expected as early as next week

The shots are expected to protect against severe disease and death.

@TheManyVoices @thatkatharine No, that's only for over 50s. Keep your ear to the ground!

@ellenor2000 @thatkatharine

1) "Over 50" has almost always been the first stage of a new wave of vaccinations in the past. Fingers crossed. 🤞🤞

2) I'm over 50, so I didn't pay as close attention as I should have to the age limit when I heard it on the TV. My apologies.

3) I edited the original post to reflect that information. Thank you!

@TheManyVoices Canada has always lagged behind the States by several weeks. The last year of boosters has been down to time of eligibility (every six months), but the first vax roll out in ‘20/‘21 was limited to elderly at first and trickled down to younger, no doubt due to demand. The latest XBB booster is rumoured in UK and U.S. to only be made available for advanced ages, without indication that under 65s will be able to get it eventually.
