Whistleblower account
A poor African American woman experienced a #medical #emergency today at #Piedmont #Augusta and the response from the staff was so abysmal. The balled headed white #nurse refused to help saying, “It is against the law for me to help in the parking lot.” This is not #healthcare.
The tall black man in a suit is from administration. He refused to talk to me about it while taking statements from all the other witnesses. He threatened to have me trespassed for waiting to finish with the police. Trespassed for helping try to save her life!
On top of that, an Augusta, Georgia Fire Dept #firefighter decided to chew me out for parking in a fire lane. I parked there to get out and help try to save a life. Not thanks for helping. Nope. You are parked where you shouldn’t. Yes, I should have waited to find a better parking place and not render aid.
Yolanda of Piedmont Security heard me tell someone about the refusal of care by the nurse and started demanding I leave. This is how much Piedmont cares. People stop using Piedmont until they change!!
Other witnesses and I tried to save her. Pray for her and pray Piedmont finds a heart and a soul.
A big thanks to the nurses and staff who did their job, who had compassion, and who rendered aid. You are the angels in this terrible story!
Btw, I had to leave Piedmont or get trespassed. And I sitting in a parking lot on Washington Road still shaking and crying. I am trying to calm down so I don’t stress my already bad heart. I know, what a wuss.
