IBBoardI've been reading "Legends of the Dark Millennium: Astra Militarum" and now "Cadia Stands" and enjoying the stories. Especially Creed. The "down-and-dirty humanity and practicality" GrimDark while everyone around them is trying to be "correctly bureaucratic" GrimDark is great.
The Imperial Guard novels are so much better overall than the Space Marine novels. And I don't think it's just the authors.
(The Warhammer novels are better still, though)
I keep checking #HumbleBundle for books that are worth getting (and then never reading). Still no new #BlackLibrary bundle 😞

Why has Games Workshop not done a Black Library bundle on Humble for a while? I feel like I've not been able to buy cheap Warhammer ebooks for AGES!

It feels like ages since Games Workshop did a Black Library ebook bundle on Humble Bundle. They should do more cheap ebooks!
I'm currently reading the "Sons of the Emperor" anthology, because some of the Primarch novels were quite interesting.
So far it seems like Vulkan is a decent person, Perturabo is a complete dick, and Khârn is far more coherent than I expected!
EatsbluecrayonFinished reading the new novel "Fulgrim - the perfect son" and .. whew ... NOT a pleasant experience. I do NOT recommend it to any Emperor's Children fans.
The Codex reads way more sensual and cool than this.
I wrote a lengthy, very personal essay about it.
