The rain held off for the Holiday #BikeParade yesterday in #NorthVancouver. The ride was organized by Councillors @jessicamcilroy.bsky.social and @tonyvalente.bsky.social.

The route started at Grand Boulevard and 15th Street, headed to Lynn Valley Town Centre, then along 29th, down Jones Ave, along part of the Green Necklace trail, and finally down St Andrews Ave to end in Lower Lonsdale. We checked out the Casano-Loutet Overpass construction on the way.

Tour de Fat was just getting started when I went to the farmer's market this morning, but by the time I was trying to go home, the street was packed! I had to dash through small gaps, getting dirty looks.

(Tour de Fat is named for Fat Tire Ale, from New Belgium Brewing, who host the festival.)

So, this is kind of last minute, but Alexandria City Councilwoman Sarah Bagley just invited us to ride with her in the ALX #Pride Festival on #Saturday afternoon in Old Town. We said yes, of course, because she's a Friend of the MVT! We'll be there with bubble machine and bells on! Give a holler when you see us!
