All this press attention/pressure on Prince Andrew is interesting only in that it makes one wonder which abhorrent person or group is deflecting attention from themselves. #equallyguilty #andrew #thosefiles

#KingsEnglish #BadGrammar I often wonder about the term “King’s English.” Twice in two days I have read articles from The Times written by British journalists that include atrocious grammar. Had became? Had drank? It often includes the use of the wrong past participle of a verb. And I grew up in a part of the country where “might should have went” was not uncommonly heard. Brits don’t like it when Americans use “gotten” rather than “got,” which is a regional preference rather than bad grammar.

"Experts have warned that years of underfunding for healthcare and wider public services has contributed to sharp rise in long-term sickness – including the former Bank of England chief economist, Andy Haldane."

Is Haldane a feckless benefits scrounger?

🤦🏼‍♂️ Jesus Jerry, get an editor. Please.

You don't pump breaks. You pump brakes. You know, those things in a car. Breaks are gaps, fractures, malfunctions, pauses... Not devices that retard a speeding car.

#Grammar cop reporting today on women in agriculture: "Only 33% of women in the United States make up the agricultural labor force."

So, a third of US women make up the agricultural labor force. There are no men. And by "only," does the author mean that even more women (50%?) should go into agriculture?

Nah. It's just #BadGrammar
