Converting American English to British English

#KingsEnglish #BadGrammar I often wonder about the term “King’s English.” Twice in two days I have read articles from The Times written by British journalists that include atrocious grammar. Had became? Had drank? It often includes the use of the wrong past participle of a verb. And I grew up in a part of the country where “might should have went” was not uncommonly heard. Brits don’t like it when Americans use “gotten” rather than “got,” which is a regional preference rather than bad grammar.
