Growing stalactites, Grotta del Vento, Apuan Alps Park. Absolutely spectacular caves to visit. The road there is spectacular too - and slightly hair raising! It is set within the Upper Triassic Grezzoni Formation.

An interesting catch - a Tachinid fly (probably a Gonia species) on Persian speedwell, some weeks ago in the Apuan alps. One forgets that many flies are pollinators as well.
