Nonetheless, the appearance of ‘device attestation’ in Firefox’s mobile codebase has raised eyebrows in the #FOSS #community, including from #mobile projects based on the #Android Open Source Project (AOSP) codebase, like #LineageOS and #GrapheneOS, which omit Play services.

Given that Firefox’s entire USP on Android is that it’s an open-source, privacy-respecting alternative for those avoiding #Google (and open-source, privacy-conscious users often run non-stock Android) it’s a move that, short of further explanation, rubs some the wrong way.

Letterlijk 1 dag voordat de Europese Commissie haar Tech Soevereiniteits Programma lanceert (morgen, 3 juni), wordt bekend dat de Nederlandse Overheid plant om de opvolger van DigiD alleen te laten gebruiken i.c.m. een Apple of Google account. Hebben we net het ene DigiD debacle overwonnen, dient de volgende zich aan.

What I really would love to see in @GrapheneOS is a one-click function for giving/revoking the network permission to apps.

Going via the standard permission dialog is quite cumbersome when doing it frequently.

I love #vivaldi but the need to manage individual copy pastes is very cumbersome, and i would hope this is not such a heavy change?

I saw a quite old blog post about this, but with latest version, it's still not there.
