Where Have All the Three-Bedrooms in Walkable Neighborhoods Gone? — Streetsblog USA
Growing families are struggling to find homes that meet their needs — especially in people-centered places.
We are all too aware of our vulnerability when we walk, bike or roll. Leadership at Ottawa City Hall would do well to recognize that and act on #880Cities rather than show a glaring bias towards driving.

HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT?Working with Art x Love on the @PLAY Project, we learned that Cascade Valley (the neighborhood where Cascade Village is) had a negative perception by others outside of the neighborhood. Our experience was that of a welcoming, talented population of residents. We applied for funding through 880s cities to teach a playwriting course in Cascade Village to give residents the opportunity to reimagine their neighborhood and reshape its narrative. The original plays were written by Morgan Brady (“Clocks of Cascade) and Barbara Mitchell-King (“These Steps”).
