Why do I keep finding corpses around here.

This guy has obviously been dead for some time, stuck inside the straw insulation of an old livestock shack I'm taking apart.

Probably one of the local pine martens. Looks like it wasn't a peaceful death.

In between the firewood stored in the barn out in the meadow: A couple bones.

The hooves give it away, deer parts. Young one, I think. Its too tight for a fox to get in between the logs, but a ferret might've found an unlucky deer carcass, chewed off some take-away and dragged it in there.

Fired them back into the forest where such things belong.
