Another new photo, I think this guy was the founder of the Progressive Musical Benevolent Society (he's identified as such on one of the archways) but I know basically nothing about him. A cornet/trumpet player born in the Russian Empire. Such a common name that would be hard to search...๐Ÿค”

that's actually his brother who died of Pneumonia 70 years before him๐Ÿ˜ขactually similar set of dates to my grandmother who lost her brother to Polio; she herself lived into the 2010s. I never even heard of him from the family except she told me when I interviewed her once that she thought of him regularly.

there are several members of this family buried here going back a century, but here's one of the longest living ones, love the design for a bassist. only passed away 20 years ago so I'll have to ask some people if they knew him

I'm not sure what the name is of this type of grave marker but I absolutely love them, you don't see many of them up here in Vancouver. also love the inset portraits which maybe 1/4 of these graves have and are often the only photo I've seen of these old musicians. Mr. Chabinsky here was a cornetist/trumpeter born in the Russian Empire in the 1870s, played on steamboats and owned a music store in NY, not sure about the klezmer connection for him either.

a violinist and NY theatre musician possibly born in Bulgaria or Egypt in the mid 1880s, not sure about the klezmer connection aside from him being a member of a klezmers' burial society. love TO KNOW HIM WAS TO LOVE HIM

The Angel's Vigil

Kapunda Cemetery, Kapunda, South Australia.

Kapunda is home to two primary historical cemeteries: the Kapunda Cemetery (the main town cemetery) and the St Johnโ€™s Catholic Cemetery, which is located a few kilometres outside of town and carries a more somber, legendary history.

Kapunda Cemetery serves as a record of the pioneers who built the copper mining town.

The first recorded burial took place on 9 November 1851, for Christopher Biggs, who tragically drowned at Light Bridge.

Twins, Tension, and a Troubling Obsession: A Review of โ€œGravesโ€ by Katelyn Taylor

Graves by Katelyn Taylor 18+ Contains Adult Content Graves is a dark romance why choose romance, which follows Zayden and Dominic, who are twin brothers and Blake. Zayden sees Blake whilst he is lying on the floor after being shot, and thinks she looks like an angel. He then, after recovering, starts to watch over his "angel", going as far as watching over her as she sleeps. Zayden will stop at nothing to make Blake his, but whilst protecting Blake, unbeknownst to her, Zayden gets arrested. He asks his brother to watch over her and keep her safe. To protect his girl. Dominic does, but falls in love and takes Blake as his own; he isn't willing to let her go either. Zayden gets out of prison and is taking his girl back, even if it means going through his twin to get her. My sight begins to dim as darkness begins to cloud over me. If I don't make it out of this, at least I got a glimpse of an angel before I burn in hell. If I do, then that angel is mine. [โ€ฆ]
