Wannabe: stand up comedian, voice over artist and entrepreneur.
I might lend a hand with your Rust or Elixir projects (also Gleam! - which I think is awesome), and maybe other things too. No harm in asking!

When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
When everything seems like it is going to poo, remember this. What this tells me is how amazingly much humans can achieve, without most of us really realising. This is a good reason to do more, of the right things, because it works!
Is there something in the GDPR legislation that requires websites to use "we value your privacy" in their cookie poops

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

I start the day with fresh bread and clean clothes. Now if I only had the gumption to follow up on yesterday's efforts.

I've little to do as the month winds to a close. A couple of small tasks in addition to the normal wood and water.

Perhaps I'll tackle a job that's been lurking on my desk.

Perhaps I won't.

Perhaps I'll throw caution to the wind and start a new project. We'll see.

May the wind blow in the direction you need #today

Me and my fiancée are trying different shading for my next illustration. Just a draft, but which one do you guys prefer? Left or right? :)

Partner: "I woke up to tiny cuddles and purrs"

Me: "I woke up to a tiny bastard biting my toes. I like your cat better than mine."

My name is Alexandra. I help build I Write Like, a text editor. Unless one is a tech giant, the chances of people discovering their creation are slim, regardless of how wonderful the creation is. I wanted to change that, so I came to Mastodon.
I’m a writer. I share my short stories and poems, often illustrated with my own art and photography. I'm also interested in #science, #history, and #music.
I’m fairly new here and still learning.

A couple of months ago a family friend had a very serious health issue and he couldn't move or speak much. So I put together a web app with a set of phrases, connected to a game controller, in a way that he could just select phrases from the list to communicate. Luckily this person got better quickly, and this app was no longer needed, but I decided to improve this experiment and publish it as an Open Source project.

So, this is VoxEase. It can be operated with a mouse, a touch screen, a computer keyboard, a game controller using a single hand, or you can set it to scan the list of phrases automatically so you only need to press one button to pick your phrase.
It only requires a modern browser and once downloaded it works offline.
It supports multiple languages and it can also be used by people with sight impairments (it works with screen readers).

Any suggestions on how to make it better are welcome!

I think the sporran could be revived. It's just a 12th century bum bag after all. It can be worn with trousers etc too, not just a kilt. Why not?
