Waxwings are a lot of people’s dream birds and I have been lucky to see them twice this year.

I haven’t managed to do any fungi hunting this year although I have seen a Fly Agaric and photographed a maturing Ink Cap.

It’s not too late so maybe I’ll put a day aside in the coming week for it.

I’m not an expert either so only know the “show stopper” fungi!

Recently a juvenile Red-Necked Grebe was found not far from me.

It still remains but is starting to lose its red neck.
