Cutting fuel taxes is basically just another gift to the fossil fuel oiligarchs, and it robs more money from public coffers to pay for it!

Conservative values are not compatible with democracy, freedom, and civilization for all. They just aren't. The primary value of conservatism and #capitalism is selfishness.
Last weekend, Avi Lewis was elected as the NDP’s new leader. His first-ballot win is reason to hope that the party will engage much more directly with this era of upheaval. Acknowledging the gravity of our political and economic crises is the minimum requirement for getting a hearing in Canadian politics right now, and Lewis is more than up to the task.

Modern energy systems based on renewables are absolutely possible. Don’t let oil execs and autocrats tell you otherwise.
A decentralised energy system based on wind and solar is far less vulnerable to war, blockades and oil shocks than one built around fossil fuels.

I will say this again: Science isn’t just something that nerds do, it’s the foundation of the modern world.
