CBC is a big part of what makes us Canadian. Of course, that was never a good thing, but I'll still miss it anyway, for nostalgic reasons.

Watching Carney take a machete to the CBC after promising them more money, and thinking about all the Very Thoughtful "What is Canadian Culture, Guys?" roundtables I grew up listening to on the Ceeb.

You know, the ones where three white professional middle aged men and a white lady (and sometimes one other sort of person!) searched for the Meaning of What is Canadian Culture? They never ever settled on "Canadian culture isn't real because what is the culture of one long pillaging raid that destroys everything worth living for in a vast land of many peoples?"

Anyway I sure hope Mark leaves the CBC with enough $ to keep cluelessly wondering aloud about Canadian culture while watching their clueless "apolitical" CBC journalist friends' lives be destroyed by the cuts. I'd hate to lose that.
