Russia’s missiles can knock out coal and gas plants, but not every rooftop solar panel or home battery.

Greenpeace Ukraine & Central Eastern Europe are helping communities on the ground show that local, people-powered renewable energy is real security and resilience.

In Iran and across the Middle East, war is leaving a toxic environmental scar.

When oil depots and refineries are bombed, people breathe poisonous smoke, black rain contaminates fields and rivers, and pollution can persist for decades in soil and water.

Targeting fossil fuel and water infrastructure turns basic rights into weapons.

This must stop, and it is another reason to break free from fossil fuels and build clean, resilient energy and water systems.

Call us radical, but we believe coastal communities and future generations deserve both jobs and a healthy ocean - and the communities in our new report are already proving it's possible.

In Chile, Thailand, Senegal, and Sri Lanka, they're doing both. Check out  stories from the communities >> https://www.greenpeace.org/international/publication/83817/global-ocean-justice-now/

Don’t let oil and gas executives and warmongering autocrats tell you we can’t run modern societies on renewables.

🟢 Wind and solar already dominate new power capacity and beat fossil fuels on cost, with storage and smart grids keeping them reliable.

🟢 Clean, homegrown renewables can shield tens of millions of people from price shocks and energy blackmail, especially when communities own the power.

What we need now is the courage to say no to fossil fuels and back a fast, fair transition.

The AI data centre frenzy is unfolding across Australia so fast that most people still have no idea what’s actually being built, or what it could mean for our future.⁣

GPAP's Energy Vampires report with @ketanjoshi exposes the enormous energy demand tied to these mega projects, and how Big Gas is already using it to push for even more dirty gas projects across the country.⁣

It’s almost June already!

Scientists warn that data centres are creating a ‘heat island effect’ that can raise temperatures around them by up to 16 DEGREES.

Why on earth are our governments giving Big Tech free rein to build climate‑wrecking data centres wherever they want?

We need to turn off the plastic tap and cut how much is made in the first place.

We demand that governments commit to a strong Global Plastics Treaty that will cut plastic production by at least 75% by 2040 to stay below 1.5 C and end single-use plastic.

We can’t recycle our way out of the plastic crisis.

As long as companies keep ramping up plastic production, recycling will always be too little, too late.
