Hi, I’m Sarah. My family is from Wales, I lived in New York for 20 years and now live in #London. Earlier this year, I left my soul-crushing job in #AdTech to do my MA in #Folklore Studies.

Today I'm thinking a lot about #bread. I've been reading articles on different groups migrating to the United Kingdom, and one of the things they seem to all have in common is that they miss the bread from their home country. I haven't yet looked at what Brits who emigrated thought about their bread (hopefully it's not just that British bread is a bit meh?!).
It took years for us to get our stuff out of storage in Brooklyn and into our home in London, but now that the books are all in and sorted, it feels like home finally. So today, I am so lucky; I can sit in my living room writing a paper on #foodways and enjoying my surroundings.😊 #mytopshelf
