I've always hated the metal wire clothes hangers and replaced them with plastic or wood hangers, but our utensils drawer in the kitchen wouldn't open because something raised up and blocked the drawer. The way that these cabinet drawers are designed, there's no way to open them up. The lack of accessible screws ... oh, sorry, veered off on another rant. Anyway, I did find one wire hanger and unfolded it with pliers and managed to get the drawer open. Always keep one wire hanger handy.

Tested the ability to record and play back Midi data from/to my Keyboard using the arecordmidi and aplaymidi commands. These work! The Keyboard is connected to the computer via a USB cable (+ 8ft USB extender cable). Next, I need to integrate Midi recording and playback into my script, along with the existing ADC/DAC and sound card LineIn/LineOut options.

One of the world’s earliest surviving chess sets ♟️
This nearly complete set dates to the 12th century and is believed to come from Nishapur, Iran. Made of molded and glazed stonepaste, the pieces take beautifully abstract forms. This set is now preserved at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Amazing how many people I know who believe they better get on the AI bandwagon or are smitten with the superficial abilities of generative AI. I see a future of shoddy services and a workforce of low skill level.
Even before the push for AI, I was displeased with Firefox. I felt it had been going down the wrong path for several years now, and becoming unusable. It is a bloated and inefficient browser and it feels like way past time to ditch it. I can live with a reduced functionality browser for 90% of my use of the web. It doesn't help that government websites often require complex browsers to be able to function.
A recording of Minuet in G Major (on acoustic guitar), which I made today on my upgraded xubuntu system. My performance has improved since last year -- I have been practicing, but the sound is not yet as clear and crisp as I'm aiming for.
Feel free to dance to the music since a minuet is written for a dance by two people.
