You’re all VERY welcome

[Edit: Good grief, users of Mastodon. This is clearly a shitpost. It is clearly not a real card. It is clearly not a chicken. Both DoorDash and UberEats are now including AI generated menu item descriptions. Probably something to be aware of if you have food allergies. 😐 #AI #UberEats #DoorDash #fuckAI

Even agnostic, I can confidently say the following:

If every person is made in God's image then trans kids are born perfect.

If there is a divine plan, bans on gender affirming care are rebellion against it.

Every trans child has a holy light and a birthright to brighten the world with it.

Trying to quench that light invites a just God's wrath.

Looking for (small) artists open for commissions here on Fedi~

  • A small commission of a plushified version of Soblow.

This is from Israel's oldest paper. This is Israeli media reporting these war crimes and genocide in broad daylight.

You won't see this in American corporate media. They've continued to ignore this, enable this, even justify this and cheer it on.

Do not look away. This is genocide. This cannot stand.

@QasimRashid full archived article at https://archive.ph/jyaR7
@futtta @QasimRashid I’m confused by this article, headline and how it counters itself

@futtta @QasimRashid "You know it's not right. You feel it's not right – that the commanders here are taking the law into their own hands. But Gaza is a parallel universe. You move on quickly. The truth is, most people don't even stop to think about it."

Just following orders is no excuse

@webhat @futtta @QasimRashid

Seems like I've heard that before ...

@futtta @QasimRashid is there an archived Hebrew original?

@QasimRashid Former Israeli P.M. Ehud Olmert speaking 11 June on Ezra Klein's NYT podcast described what's occurring in Gaza as "a state of crime".

I'll note that both persons named here are Jewish, should anyone have any doubt.

Opinion | Ehud Olmert on Israel’s Catastrophic War in Gaza

The former prime minister of Israel discusses why he believes Israel’s war in Gaza can no longer be justified.

The New York Times
@dredmorbius @QasimRashid that's Ehud Olmert, the former PM of Israel that the current shower openly describe as "far left".

@vashti Sure.

But he's Jewish, a former head of state of Israel, and not someone who can easily be tarred as Arabic / Islamic / Palestinian.

Ezra Klein has not yet been elected head of state of Israel, but otherwise has similar cred.

@QasimRashid

@QasimRashid they know they will never be held accountable. No regard for principle.
@WheresMyWater @QasimRashid they will. Hopefully sooner than later
@tsyum @QasimRashid 1967 borders, removal of the apartheid wall and no economic stranglehold and anyone who is aggressive after should be held fully accountable. Not general citizens.

@WheresMyWater @tsyum @QasimRashid

The 1967 borders *are* apartheid.

@WheresMyWater @tsyum @QasimRashid Perhaps, alongside de-zionification, the borders should be wound back to the pre-1948 planning stage, 1948 being the year of the zionist coup preceded and succeeded by zionist terrorism.
@WheresMyWater @tsyum @QasimRashid Gaza had the 1967 borders and no border wall in 2005. And a partner in Israel left wing coalition with a goal of doing all that for the West Bank too.
@mwguy @tsyum @QasimRashid the occupying country have had the stranglehold ever since the 6 day war. They never in reality had any sovereignty since the internationally recognized occupying country. 1967 borders is the only realistic scenario for a two state solution. Israel every single time has been the aggressor and never wants anything but genocide against Gaza. History shows the occupier is in the wrong.

@WheresMyWater @tsyum @QasimRashid Gaza has had the '67 borders since 2005 (which
incidentally are the same as the '48 borders for Gaza).
A pullout that involved removing Israeli settlers at
gunpoint, was done by a left wing coalition in Israel that
promised to Israel that this model would lead to peaceful
neighbors and promised the West Bank a similar in
principle pullout in the larger West Bank. When Hamas
started launching attacks from Gaza, it broke that
coalition's promise to the Israelis and it's power fell
apart. And the current ruling coalition, who had always
claimed that the pullout would lead to neverending war
was made in fucking prophets.

Every time an attack is launched from Gaza to Israel it
strengthens the Netanyahu led coalition in Israel. Every
time there's a scuffle or conflict between the West Bank
and settlers that doesn't spill into Israel proper it
strengthens his coalition.

> History shows the occupier is in the wrong.

History may suggest they're morally wrong. But history
is full of squashed revolutionary movements, successful empires and dead, angry men. If the Palestinians truly want to win via the sword they
need to start with a minimal amount of competence first.

@mwguy @tsyum @QasimRashid pure occupation propaganda!

@WheresMyWater @tsyum @QasimRashid You know I wish it was propaganda as much as the next person. But you must consolidate power before engaging in a successful offensive. If the military option for reunification is the only option palatable to Palestinians (and based on the rhetoric it seems that this is true), then they're doing a poor job of executing on that desire.

If the 2 state solution based on the 1967 borders is their desire (which is what the rhetoric of the diaspora and the Israeli left seems to support). Then they're doing a piss poor job of executing on that desire.

Both options say make peace in Gaza and cause Havok in the WB.

@QasimRashid This is good to see but Israel has many military reviews where which weirdly the military finds itself innocent of any wrong doing
@QasimRashid There isn’t anyone who’d accuse Haaretz of being pro-Palestinian. That’s how bad things are. How can anyone stay silent?
@bougiewonderland @QasimRashid I've seen a few people (right-wing types) say that Haaretz is pro-Palestinian or something similar. In fact, Haaretz is more or less a minor image of the Wall Street Journal - accurate news articles but left-wing instead of right-wing editorials. Israeli elites on both ends of the political spectrum read it: all of them want news that is as accurate as possible.
@bzdev @QasimRashid OK maybe I should have said anti-Israel instead of pro-Palestine!
@bougiewonderland @QasimRashid you're kidding, right? Haaretz is basically a branch of Al-Jazeera now, with all the narrative peddling bullshit that entails. Accuracy? Lol.
@QasimRashid Haaretz is anti-Semitic.
@GM7077 @QasimRashid
A word so debased it means nothing at all.
@GM7077 @QasimRashid Many Israelis actually believe and say that.
@Ryan @QasimRashid That's how far up their own ass they've plunged.
@QasimRashid This will only end when the #Israeli people tell their #government to stop.
@QasimRashid WTF is the world coming to?
😡

@QasimRashid

Israël has built the biggest concentration camp in the world and are running it like the Germans did.

@QasimRashid Haaretz has been heroically speaking out against the genocide since the beginning.
@QasimRashid Israelis using food to bait death traps is as old as Israel. General Moshe Dayan, IDF chief of staff, Minister of Defense: "Arabs cross to collect the grain that they left in the abandoned villages and we set mines for them and they go back without an arm or a leg."

In Their Own Words: Israeli Leaders on the Expulsion of Palestinians During Israel's Establishment | IMEU

The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) is a non-profit organization that offers journalists facts, analysis, experts, and digital resources about Palestine and Palestinians.

@QasimRashid I'm confused. The image here shows a newspaper that's not looking away but explicitly presenting the issue. I grant it could be presented in a more urgent way.

see post above - HAARETZ 'It's a Killing Field": IDF Soldiers Ordered to Shoot Deliberately at Unarmed Gazans Waiting for Humanitarian Aid IDF officers and soldiers told Haaretz they were ordered to fire at unarmed crowds near food distribution sites in Gaza, even when no threat was present. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed, prompting the military prosecution to call for a review into possible war crimes

@palestine @israel

@QasimRashid

@QasimRashid then they look at the rest of us, with very horrified kids on our faces, and try to justify these obviously disgusting and heinous actions.

Seriously, if you're reading this, and you want to justify killing children, then jump off a cliff.

@QasimRashid New estimates reveal amount of ”unaccounted for” Palestians at 377000.

It is.

@gimulnautti @QasimRashid lol cmon where do you hide 1/6th of the Gazaa strip, stop beliving this Hamas BS

@mescalin @QasimRashid Another more conservative estimate:

56,077 Gazans killed, 11,000 missing, 100,000 fleeing, 200000 starving.

You can argue about specific counting methods. But you can’t hide differences in scale of the damage.

All this death for 1200 dead Israelis and 300 hostages.

That’s 3 orders of magnitude brother. Eye for an eye doesn’t even start to cover for it. More like couple of extended families per each eye.

@gimulnautti @QasimRashid maybe Hamas should have thought of the consequences of their actions on that one... if they actually really give a crap also maybe they should surrender? yes war sucks however after you put your hand into a bee hive don't be surprised if the bees start chasing you... i'm confident personally that Israel trys it's best to balance the sensibilities of the west with the absolute requirement of removing Hamas who continue to hide in their tunnels
@mescalin @QasimRashid Talking to people who cannot see the lives of Palestinian civilians as equally significant to those of Israeli civilians feels equally pointless every time.

@gimulnautti @QasimRashid i didn't say that but realisticly in a relative sense in war your own countrymen are more valuable as otherwise you'll loose the war... i'm sure the Germans were also innocent and great people

you don't choose war, war chooses you... you really think the IDF want to be there? that's simply the way the world is, i blame radical Islam largely

@QasimRashid Pure disinfomation. Unfortunately it's hard to tackle the broad stream of repeaters of this lies, because quantity matters.
@QasimRashid "This is Israeli media reporting these war crimes and genocide in broad daylight"
Positive note: in Israel free press still exists. Different from the surrounding countries and US media 'advertising space'.
Negative note: why the senseless shooting? Netanyahu you have them in your grip, put them in the concentration camp you always wanted.
Understanding of Jewish strategy: they have sworn that no one will ever destroy them again. Whoever attacks a Jew will pay 10000 times for it.
@QasimRashid It was always the goal. And it was always obvious to anyone not drenched in islamophobia, or fear of being antisemitic.
I'm glad it is at least being reported in Israel. I am livid to be american; I cannot imagine how livid if I were israeli or Palestinian. 🇵🇸

@QasimRashid Haaretz seems to have been purged from the #duckduckgo news search.

Does the paper have an anti-search policy?

@tasket @QasimRashid

Indeed its not showing. But was it ever included in the news search before? Anyway it will still show up if you do a normal search
