If you are making a game with the option of direct IP connection, consider supporting DNS SRV records!
They allow the server operator to specify a port in the DNS record so that players don't need to remember a pair of big numbers, and makes it easier to self-host in this age of carrier-restricted port forwarding.
I learned about this a while ago because Minecraft supports it. Now my friends just need to type in kroltan.me into the address field (no use trying yourself, it is whitelisted), and I can freely swap between hosting it on my on premises toaster server or in a cloud hosting service without having to ask my players to reconfigure anything at all.
@CorioPsicologia hombre, un barco de Tenerife a península no es lo más práctico. Excepciones sería lo mejor, porque bastante "desventaja" tenemos ya por ser periferia :(
Otra cosa es que los barcos, incluso de vela, necesitan motor para poder entrar o salir de puerto. No sé si un motor eléctrico sería suficiente o eficiente eso sí 🤔
