Christmas - In Excelsior Dayglo
Was having a discussion on here a couple days ago about Volcano Suns, which made me think of one of my other favorite Boston bands from 85, 86. I have lots of thoughts about this regional era of US indie rock, but suffice to say every time I listen to this record I reminded how I played the hell out it & exactly why.A terrific record.

This showed up in 2 unrelated youtube videos this past week so I’m taking it as a sign to spin it.
Today is #BandcampFriday.
I discovered Three Pillars Of Limbic Fission in the cassette bin of an independent record store in Columbus, Ohio. No one there was sure where it came from, but taking a chance on it only risked me one dollar. What lived inside both the cassette and its packaging changed my life forever.
Please help me raise money for NARAL Pro-Choice America while also helping us try to identify and locate the author of this remarkable, one-of-a-kind release.

#MWE 2/3: V/A - Gomi-Akta (Coquette, 1993)
Gomi-Akta ('valueless trash') was a compilation curated by Masonna with the unique stipulations that all its content had to be recorded using his personal Sony™ Walkman® (contributors would borrow it) and no electricity could be used in the performance. What followed was 41 vignettes of pets snarling, drinks pouring, teeth brushing, toilets flushing, day jobs bustling, and the occasional a cappella song - an ad-hoc audio doc of these noisicians' lives.
I know Friday is a busy hashtag day but I wanted to do an old school #FollowFriday to welcome one of my oldest, most special real world friends, @pinato who i convinced to join #mastodon despite being wary of social media.
