This is how we did it in #Vermont, and we had a "Democratic" super-majority in the previous session, made up of Dems, Progs, and Indies. We play pretty fast and loose with the whole party concept up here in the first place - absolutely not unheard of for candidates to switch teams after losing a primary or a whole election. We do what we have to, to get in. Then they all caucus together.
