Does anybody have recommendations for connected air humidity sensors for home use? I want to put one in every room and would like to get a notification when the humidity hit a defined threshold.

#Introduction:

I'm a #climateScientist, and for the past few years I've worked in the #climateRisk space as science team leader in an organisation undertaking climate-related physical risk assessment for #government, #NGO, and #finance sector organisations.

The #physicalClimateRisk space is a real wild west at the moment, with lots of players trying to do things in sometimes wildly different ways.

So now I'm heading back into academia in order to study how to optimise risk assessment

Looking for great websites and blogs about spatial data science.

What are your go-to resources for #SpatialDataScience? πŸ“ŠπŸ—ΊοΈ

Why there doesn’t exist any #geospatial consultancy called β€šBureau of spatial investigationsβ€˜ πŸ€”

Seems I have to found a company…

@seav There's a @qgis easter-egg that turns the map panel into a shuffle game if you type 'bored' in the coordinate bar. It renders whatever is visible on the map into 15 pieces. So placing the OSM slippy map gets something similar, though tiling is generated based on map bounds, not the slippy map tiles.

yes, it's playable

Disaster by Choice

An earthquake shatters Haiti and a hurricane slices through Texas. We hear that nature runs rampant, seeking to destroy us through these 'natural disasters'. Science recounts a different story, however: disasters are not the consequence of natural causes; they are the consequence of human choices and decisions.
