A little late but it’s working #woodworking

Threw a couple coats of polycrylic on the bench and sanded it down a bit. Brought it in town and installed in front of my wife's office window

Really happy with how it ended up. I could have clamped one of the rails better, but overall it turned out light but sturdy and is doing the job it was supposed to do

I generally use scraps of wood to report measures to the various sides of a project.

They are not as accurate as "Jo Blocks", but for #woodworking a ±0,50 mm precision is acceptable, and scraps are thousands of times cheaper than good blocks.

Experimenting with a new box design and getting better a matching grain around the sides. This has a floating base and raised top. All completed with hand tools, except for one cheat: I cut the hole in the lid with a forstner bit. #Woodworking #handtools
