I was at #Lowe’s today and I remember reading an article about 15 years ago about their custom #Linux #distribution #distro does anyone know anything about it? Are they still using it? Is it fully from scratch or based on #Ubuntu or #RHEL? #askfedi

#Threads feels like a necessary evil for more #ActivityPub adoption. Seeing people and accounts I couldn’t imagine seeing on a Mastodon instance. Organizations and non tech users need the simplicity of threads. This could be a good thing.

I think #Reddit is blocking #discord links. I created a post in my local subreddit with a link to the discord but it’s not visible on the new page. Is anyone else seeing this?
That time - when you're in the zone - and...
I learn new things about myself all the time. Today I learned that when confronted with homemade bread that has gone stale I’m just sort of person it’ll make croutons. After all, I really should eat more salads and maybe some homemade croutons will help. Turns out homemade croutons are tasty spicy little bits of tall crackers. Secondarily, I’ve also learned about myself that when confronted with homemade croutons, I’m more likely to eat at least half of the batch before even considering a salad.

This is great - Google providing 100,000 free security keys through 2023 to high-risk users. (Though I am still disappointed that - after all of the joint early work Google did with Yubico - they went with Feitian instead of Yubico to provide the raw hardware for the current Titan Security Key series.)
