There is currently a scammer posing as a server admin telling people to temporarily change their Mastodon account's email to an address supplied by the scammer. This is a scam, don't do it.

Real admins will NEVER ask you to do this.

I am curious to see how many followers I end up with. It was 1,790 on the old account, but the nature of federation means that some of those accounts will have vanished since following me and my numbers may not have noticed. Hopefully no current and active accounts will be accidentally dropped along the way. 🤞
