Listening to the July 3 episode of Behind the News. One question Im left with is given how private equity purchases of businesses are leveraged with outside loans - why is any entity loaning these deals money given how badly they perform? Maybe I will have to read Meagan Greenwell's book

With new round of Trump Tariff huffs its worth looking at a nice overview like this one from EPI.

It occurs to me that one way to counter this annoying tariff tactic is for multiple nations to coordinate retaliatory measures if any tariffs go over some trigger value say 15% for any member of the coalition.

I see this as unlikely, but with multiple individual nations getting their negotiation in good faith being repeatedly thrown back into chaos it increases in odds.
