Elive Linux
You've probably not heard about this user friendly and aesthetic, very lightweight yet very pretty Linux distribution?
Meant primarily for older computers / Elive is based on Debian and is offering some adorable bling-bling through its Enlightenment desktop environment / Cairo dock amongst other things such as fancy sound effects. Of course Elive is suitable for a modern system just as well!
The Elive crew's work in progress is a 64 bit edition / a new stable release for it: they need help now in means of donations (or in form of reviews to give Elive more publicity).

PeerTube is getting an overhaul +about to get a whole lot functional with great features, in freedom. PeerTube needs about 12k more to reach that €60,000 / Live streaming feature according to their milestones!

The fine developers of Framasoft have a roadmap for version 3.0 of PeerTube which includes all the things one needs to start ditching the evil Youtube of Google.

Ron Gilbert (the creator of The Secret of Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, Thimbleweed Park, etc.) is switching to Linux!
The legendary game developer writes:
"my goal is to see how far I can get developing my new game on directly on Linux and not the Mac (I haven't developed on Windows in years). Can I ditch the Mac and go 100% Linux?".
He was on macOS previously and wants to transition to Linux (on a Dell XPS 13 running Ubuntu Budgie flavor) entirely for game development as he finds "Apple locks it down more and more and it feels less and less like my computer" (see one of his comments below the second post).
Windows apparently is out of the question altogether.
