In your responses to anyone anywhere, I would ask you to remember there is a difference between "I see your struggle and I want to be helpful to you" and "You're doing it wrong and I want to be the one to say that to you" and also a difference in how they will be taken in by others. In case you didn’t hear, or aren’t from #DurhamNC: last week a bizarre car crash (maybe involving a shooting, maybe not, it’s not 100% clear at the moment) resulted in a car driving fully into the middle of Rofhiwa Books, a Black+Queer-owned bookstore here in Durham. (While they were closed, thankfully.)

The place is TRASHED and even though they are insured, it’ll take a while to get things sorted. In the meantime, they have to take care of their employees.
