@HeartofArgyll Apologies, not ignoring you, but damaged ribs and arm so limiting my typing time. will catch up soon.

That early morning #autumn feeling in Epping #Forest.

It's that time of year when the nights become longer than the days, the mist starts to form on those cold mornings, & the leaves start to turn a glorious gold.

I hope everyone is having a great start to the week?

If not, remember that every day is a new day. It's a chance to wipe the slate clean & start afresh. Remember to be grateful for the little things in the world around you.❀️

@HeartofArgyll Interesting, I've already set a story in Borrowdale with my main male character building a Herdwick flock back in 1860s. Perhaps I should do a short story around Scottish Herdwick crosses? I don't do romance usually, but this could be it! What are the fleeces used for please?

Ghosts matter. This is a hill I will die upon.

They were like us once, human. These rich stories serve as portals to the past, conduits for everything that came before us and also everything that will be. They hold up a mirror to us, our own hopes, fears and isolation. They are history, legacy and memory.

Ghosts give us a chance to understand.

The Ghost barge of Ironbridge is a brilliant example of this.

We are blessed with untouched temperate rainforest and ancient woodland. Swathes of moss, lichen and ferns cloak our trees, understorey and rocks. Autumn pops up fungi fruiting bodies. There are 50 of our favourite #walks in the area outlined on our website. These pics were taken on the yellow route along the shore of the longest sea loch in Scotland #lochfyne at Ardcastle.
