... but renders the image useless for training a visual AI. The AI can't detect the artists' style, and thus can't mimic it and copy it. 🤖 ✖️

My sincere wish for all aspiring writers is that they’ll find the courage to sit their ass down and write an actual *thing*. Not a blog post about the thing. Not a review of books about the thing. Not nibbling at the edges of it, or wringing hands about how others do it.

Write your THING. It’s scary. It won’t be perfect. You get better every time, but you can’t really make progress until you jump in the damn pool.

FFS please. 😂 DO IT.

I’m rooting for you.

A linguistics professor was lecturing on the role of the double negative, noting that in some languages like Russian a double negative remains negative, while in other languages like French a double negative becomes positive. However, the professor observed, in no language in the world does a double positive become negative. From the back of the classroom a student replied, "Yeah. Right."

Happy birthday to meeeee! 🎁🎂🎉🥳
Okay, I’m a day late posting this—yesterday was my birthday, but I was very busy eating at my favorite places (Din Tai Fung for lunch, pictured, and Chi’s Chinese for dinner) and attending the funeral service for a dear friend, Jerry Williams. He was an amazing guy and quite the musician. When I knew him he worked as the pianist, arranger, conductor and musical director for Donny & Marie (their Vegas residency). Marie sent beautiful flowers, Donny was there.
In celebration of the Green Bay Packers (and specifically Aaron Rogers) being eliminated from the playoffs...let's play. You got questions, I MIGHT have answers. Fire away. And, as always, if you see value in this...please BOOST it along for others to find. #Television #Screenwriting #ThePackersAreBad

On a topic different from what I usually post about, I am a #PassengerRail advocate.

In the US.

Where #Amtrak stopped publishing printed #timetables, making it hard for people to plan trips.

So in 2022, I wrote a program to generate printable timetables from the same #GTFS data that they send to places like Google maps.

Results are at https://railpassengers.org/timetables

Sadly, I can't take the train right now due to lack of #Covid safety.

Just thought some people might be interested. @chas
