Three stages of public health in a pandemic crisis:
1. Panic myth: we lie to not scare you.
2. Incompetence. We do not understand our field (viruses in air) so we get mitigations all wrong.
3. Later, we follow our political masters and provide scientific cover to get you back to work without protection because we are too stupid to pivot to actually mitigating anything.

Not only did #DougFord meet privately with a developer to discuss the removal of his lands from the Greenbelt, this meeting (which the Premier says he "does not remember") took place at a $1,200-a-ticket Conservative fundraiser...held at the developer's house.

There was a big release of documents proving what everybody knew, which is Doug Ford gave the land away to his buddies and they paid him for it.
"All told, the documents show exactly what one would expect after two watchdog reports on the Greenbelt scandal both found the government had given preferential treatment to a small group of developers: wealthy landowners making requests and, for the most part, political staff granting them."
A small example of what's happening in hospitals in #BC: recently, a nursing supervisor told me that she has "so many nurses out sick", and one of our equipment for diagnostic exams was broken for a week and none of the biomedical engineers had been able to come look at it because "they are all sick".
How is this sustainable? We can't keep doing this to our workers and patients 😡
