Last summer, #Ontario was certainly angry enough to vote out Doug Ford.. until the media and pollsters got involved. The media printed glowing stories - "how bad could he be" "the Premier has changed - he's softer, nicer" & then they touted polls showing the election result was a foregone conclusion.
Voters stayed home.
In the end, only 18% voted for Ford & kicked open the gateway to 'for-profit' healthcare for 15 million Ontarians.
As long as the Ford #Conservatives are in power, healthcare privatization is a done deal in this province.
It will be further entrenched, not dismantled; it's far too lucrative.
Doug Ford will gleefully continue to use "OHIP funds to pay shareholders. He's simply using taxpayer money as a trough to feed greedy profiteers who prioritize their wealth over Ontario's health."
